To schedule appointments, please call our office at 805.409.4560 during office hours: Monday – Thursday 8:30am – 12pm and 1:30pm – 5:pm; Friday 9am – 1pm.
If you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment, please note that we require a 24-hour notification. If you are unable to keep your appointment and do not call to cancel the appointment, you will be considered a “no show.” It is our office policy to assess a $50 fee for missed appointments.
Our licensed aesthetician can design a treatment program that’s right for your skin. They will review your concerns, your current regimen, evaluate your skin and skin type, and then offer a suggested plan of care. You are encouraged to bring in the products you are currently using for evaluation.
If it is necessary to cancel an appointment, we require a 24-hour notification; otherwise, you will be assessed a $50 fee for the missed appointment.
If you should experience a skin emergency after hours, please call our office and follow the prompts to leave a message for Dr. Pierre or call 911.
If you should require a prescription refill, please ask your pharmacy to fax a Refill Request Form to our office at (805) 496-9185. Please allow for a 24-hour turnaround time. If you have a question about a medication you are presently taking, please call our office at 805.409.4560 and leave a detailed message on the nurses’ voicemail. The nursing staff at Pierre Skin Care Institute work hard to ensure that all calls are returned in a timely manner.
If you should have a biopsy done in our clinic, please note that within two weeks of your visit you will receive a phone call explaining the results. If you have not received your results within a 3-week period, please notify our office immediately.
While Pierre Skin Care Institute is not contracted with any Health Maintenance Organizations (HMO); we are contracted with most PPO insurance companies.
It is your responsibility to confirm that Pierre Skin Care Institute has a contract with your specific insurance plan. As a courtesy to our patients, we will file claims to most insurance companies that are contracted with our office. You will be responsible for any amount unpaid by your insurance at 30 days. Additionally, you will be asked to pay for all deductible, co-pay and co-insurance amounts at the time of service.
- Pierre Skin Care Institute may perform, at your request, a service that is considered not medically necessary (cosmetic service) by your insurance plan. This falls under the title of “Non-covered Services”. If you receive such a service, you will be responsible for payment of that procedure at the time the service is performed.
- Pierre Skin Care Institute accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, debit cards, cash or checks as methods of payment.
